The island is the most northerly of the Eastern Caribbean’s Leeward Islands, situated in the British West Indies approximately 100 miles north west of Antigua. Measuring just 16 miles long and 3 miles wide, Anguilla is renowned for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean - some with beach bars, some with locals playing cricket and many which are deserted!
Anguilla has a great range of accommodation, from the gastronomic and luxurious CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa to the beachfront yet reasonable Frangipani Beach Resort - the team at Tropic Breeze will be happy to find that perfect Anguillan holiday destination for you. The Island has a fantastic selection of restaurants, beach bars and shacks where you can dine on a range of cuisines.
Anguilla enjoys a sub-tropical climate with an average temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit and less rainfall than many other islands in the Caribbean due to its geography.
The scenery is not dramatic - being a coral island, the highest point is just 213 ft above sea level and the vegetation is mainly scrub, while many of the buildings are simply white painted concrete. However the friendly warmth of the local people, combined with the superb beaches and gourmet restaurants have firmly established Anguilla as one of the most exclusive, laid back holiday destinations in the Caribbean.
There are no direct flights from the UK to Anguilla, so travel is usually via Antigua.
