Mango Bay is a small, all-inclusive resort in St James on the west coast of Barbados, located in grounds which lead down to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island’s famous Platinum coast.

The hotel’s 67 rooms and suites each boast a private patio or balcony with views over the gardens, swimming pool or sea. Many rooms at the boutique-style property accommodate two adults and two children, making the resort a good family holiday destination. Facilities at Mango Bay include a freeform freshwater pool, a small yet well-equipped gym and an Elements Spa offering a variety of treatments.

A range of complimentary water sports are available including water-skiing, paddle boarding, sailing, snorkelling and kayaking. Guests can also enjoy a catamaran snorkel cruise.

The hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, with a beachfront restaurant serving a fusion of Bajan and international cuisine either as a buffet or with table d’hote. A variety of excellent restaurants, bars and shops can be found within a few minutes’ walk of the hotel, both within Holetown and in the rest of St James Parish.

Chargeable activities and excursions include visits to nearby places of interest such as the Mount Gay Rum factory and an evening trip to Oistins Fish Fry.

Our Opinion

Mango Bay is great all inclusive option in a prime spot on the west coast, just a few minutes’ walk from Holetown, where you can find a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops. I loved the laid back and friendly atmosphere here and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the idea of being on all inclusive but also likes to be able to venture out easily and sample some local cuisine. The rooms are simple and understated, and I especially liked the deluxe rooms, some of which have lovely panoramic views over the resort.
