GoldenEye is a luxurious hotel in Oracabessa Bay on the north coast of Jamaica, originally built as a five bedroom villa by Ian Fleming in 1949 to be used a retreat and his chosen place to write all 14 of the James Bond novels.  Over the last six decades GoldenEye has been visited by many of the world's most glamorous writers and musicians. Today, under the watchful eye of music producer Chris Blackwell, this laidback chic beach resort has been carefully re-modeled with new beach cottages, lagoon suites and a new restaurant.
Goldeneye was named the 'Caribbean's Leading Boutique Resort' at the 2017 World Travel Awards.

The waterfront cottages are surrounded by tropical gardens of palm and mangrove overlooking the GoldenEye lagoon.  French doors open from the bedroom to a shaded porch with a private dock into the lagoon creating a very quiet and private setting - just steps away from Low Cay Beach.

Interior designer Barbara Hulanicki, founder of London's famed Biba boutique, has styled the cottages' decor and furnishings which she has complemented with her custom-made furniture which includes a queen size sofa built using locally sourced teak, beautiful claw foot baths and Royal Hut linens.

GoldenEye has now added cool, painted beach huts to its accommodation.  With one bedroom or two, overlooking Snorkeler’s Bay or Oracabessa Bay and either at 3 foot, 5 foot or 10 foot off the sand – the choice is yours!  All have private verandas, interior wet rooms, a Sonos sound system and complimentary Wi-Fi too.

The newly designed, open air Gazebo Restaurant has a tree house style with seating and a lounge, serving elegant dishes such as grilled lobster and rack of lamb to accompany its wine list.  In-room or outdoor dining in the privacy of your cottage is also available.  Bizot Bar offers a laidback dining experience for breakfast and lunch on Low Cay Beach.

GoldenEye has excellent activities on offer - from swimming, scuba diving, snorkelling, wading, water aerobics and water polo to deep sea fishing for blue and white marlin from its 26ft fishing boat.  Low Cay is GoldenEye’s main beach with 500 feet of smooth sand and is the perfect spot for a yoga session in the setting sun.
The FieldSpa is a unique cottage on the edge of the lagoon where guests can choose to kayak or swim for treatments in the open-to-the-air treatment rooms. All guests receive 15 minutes added to any spa treatment booked within 24 hours of arrival.

GoldenEye is located in a stunning 52 acre site with an abundance of wildlife - nature tours and garden walks are a must - the garden is dense with exotic trees, giant Banyans, canon ball trees, African tulips, Barringtonia and numerous tropical fruits.  Bird watching is also on the agenda - keep a look out for the splendid parakeets.  Jamaica has more than 255 bird species some of which are not found anywhere else in the world!
