Petit St Vincent, The Grenadines

Petit St Vincent is a privately owned, 115 acre tropical island in The Grenadines which offers complete privacy. The resort is a perfect hideaway retreat where barefoot elegance is coupled with excellent service and luxurious comfort, where lush foliage and white sand beaches are surrounded by calm, turquoise waters.
Petit St Vincent has been named 'St Vincent & the Grenadines' Leading Resort' at the 2016 World Travel Awards and came ninth in the 'Top Resorts in the Caribbean' category in the Conde Nast Traveller Magazine 2016 Readers' Choice Awards.  .

Petit St Vincent’s accommodation is comprised of just 22 exclusive cottages and beach villas.  All are constructed in native stone that was quarried from the island itself, ensuring that buildings blend comfortably into the unique landscape of the hillside. The cottages and villas are spacious and open on to wooden decks complete with day beds and large hammocks. Should guests choose to close the sliding glass doors, the cottages are air conditioned and furnished with handcrafted teak and driftwood furniture.
Free from Wi-Fi and mobile phones, the established Petit St. Vincent communication system relies on the traditional use of flags - hoist the yellow flag at your cottage and a member of staff will arrive, pick up your message and return with your order, be it room service or lunch on the beach, all served at no extra charge. Guests can chose to have any meal, anywhere on the island for no extra charge, giving you complete freedom.

Dining is usually in the elegant, open air Main Pavilion Restaurant and Bar overlooking the harbour, where guests can choose from a fresh and varied menu which is cooked to perfection. The chefs at Petit St Vincent pride themselves on using only the freshest locally caught and grown ingredients wherever possible and will do their best to accommodate guests' dietary requirements. The new wine cellar ensures no shortage of fine wines and spirits to complete the dining experience.
Lunches are a special feature at Petit St. Vincent with locally caught fish and lobsters cooked Buccaneer style on a barbecue grill with plenty of rum! The Beach Restaurant is the ideal place to linger over a barefoot lunch, or guests can lounge on low cushioned sofas as they enjoy cocktails at the neighbouring Goatie’s Bar.

The numerous activities on Petit St Vincent include the complimentary use of kayaks, Hobie Cats, Sunfish, windsurfing and snorkeling gear. Guests can reserve the tennis court, take part in the twice weekly yoga classes, hike up the 275 ft. Marni Hill or jog around the island.  There are opportunities to go deep-sea fishing, scuba diving or visit the popular destination of the Tobago Cays Marine Park where its coral reefs provide excellent snorkeling. Golf is available on nearby Canouan Island, or guests can choose to sail on a classic island sloop and discover the charm of nearby islands, bays and reefs.
Petit St. Vincent also has a fantastic spa nestled on the hillside overlooking the beach, with four treatment rooms, each with a private outdoor shower.

Our Opinion

This to me is holiday heaven. The island is remote, exclusive and just beautiful. Service was brilliant, the Managers and their staff are all very attentive and welcoming, as soon as you arrive everyone seems to know who you are and are happy to help. The privacy and location of the rooms are unlike any other resort I have seen – natural, untouched surroundings that you don’t need to share with any crowds.

All accommodation had a consistently high standard of fittings and décor, everything you may need could be provided.  I like that the traditional rooms and stone has been kept on the island. The food was beautiful, and breakfast being delivered to your villa on time and more lovely than expected was a real treat. Facilities are all very good, really enjoyed movie night as well!
