Getting to the Maldives : Speedboat, seaplane or domestic flights

Updated August 2022

The Maldives is known for its picture-perfect islands with tropical vegetation surrounded by white sand beaches and turquoise lagoons. For many visitors, seeing the atolls from the air is a fantastic experience … however it is also possible to reach some resorts by a domestic flight from Male to a smaller airport, followed by a speedboat transfer.

Below you can see how each of the resorts we feature is reached from Male International Airport.

Call our friendly travel specialists on 01752 880880 if you have further questions about any of the resorts featured or email info@tropicbreeze.co.uk.

Seaplane transfers don’t operate after dark or in poor weather, so it may be necessary to wait in transit at the beginning or end of your holiday. Baggage for seaplane flights is strictly limited to 20kg, plus 5kg of hand luggage.
