Catamarans accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, with accommodation in a double cabin featuring an en suite bathroom and air-conditioning. Cruises include full board and follow a set 7 night itinerary visiting some of the most beautiful spots in the Grenadines including Carriacou, Union Island, the Tobago Cays and Petit St Vincent.

There is plenty of time for guests to relax and sunbathe on board the catamaran while it sails through crystal clear waters, plus opportunities to explore each island or take part in water sports. The catamaran will anchor in a sheltered location overnight to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep.


Tobago cays dream 8 days/7 nights

ITINERARY

Spend a week travelling between Grenada and some of the most beautiful spots in the Grenadines including Carriacou, Union Island, Mayreau, the Tobago Cays and Petit St Vincent.

Day One: Grenada
Board the catamaran late afternoon and spend a relaxed evening in Port Louis Marina in St George’s, where you have plenty of time to get acquainted with the boat’s features and to meet your fellow guests over dinner.

Day Two: Grenada – Carriacou – Sandy Island
Sailing time: 5 1/2 hours
Sail from Grenada to Carriacou, an exhilarating trip of about 5 ½ hours. Anchor among fishing boats in Tyrrel Bay where you can disembark and go for a wander, perhaps visiting one of the many local rum shops. Complete customs formalities then head to nearby Sandy Island where you moor for the night.

Day Three: Sandy Island – Union Island
Sailing time: 1 1/2 hours
Enjoy breakfast overlooking Sandy Island, a small stretch of sand which is a nature reserve where which is famed for its marine life and bird watching possibilities. Spend a few hours swimming and snorkelling then sail about 1 ½ hours north to Union Island. Complete the customs formalities for St Vincent and the Grenadines then drop anchor at the quieter Chatham Bay on the west of the island.

Day Four: Union Island – Mayreau
Sailing time: 1 1/2 hours
Sail northwards to Salt Whistle Bay on the stunning island of Mayreau, a trip of about 1 ½ hours. Spend the afternoon in this tranquil spot where you can swim, snorkel, relax on the beach or take an invigorating walk up the hill to view the spectacular Tobago Cays.

Day Five: Mayreau – Tobago Cays
Sailing time: 1/4 hour
Sail the short distance to the Tobago Cays, the highlight of the trip for many where you spend the day snorkelling on the reef, spotting colourful fish and swimming with turtles. Explore the spectacular national park by dinghy or just stay on board and marvel at the natural beauty of the islands.

Day Six: Tobago Cays – Petit St Vincent
Sailing time: 3 hours
After a leisurely breakfast, sail back to Union Island to complete the customs formalities to depart St Vincent and the Grenadines. This trip will take about 3 hours, after which you head to the west coast of the stunning Petit St Vincent where you can snorkel before enjoying dinner on board or on the beach.

Day Seven: Petit St Vincent – Grenada
Sailing time: 6 hours
Enjoy an exhilarating sail southwards to Prickly Bay on the south coast of Grenada, a trip of about 6 hours. Disembark at Prickly Bay marina, a popular anchorage where you can enjoy a few drinks while listening to live music. Return to the boat for dinner and your last night on board.

Day Eight: Grenada
Sailing time: 1 1/2 hours
End your week by sailing about 1 ½ hours around the southern tip of the island to Port Louis Marina. Disembark the catamaran for the final time and spend your last few hours on Grenada before heading home. Alternatively extend your holiday with a stay at one of the fantastic hotels on Grenada.

Catamarans: Cruises around Grenada & The Grenadines are on board an Ipanema 58 (6 double cabins), Lagoon 52 (5 double + 1 bunk bed cabin), Lagoon 620 (6 double cabins) and Bali 5.4 (6 double cabins). All are luxurious catamarans with a fully equipped kitchen, indoor lounge area, covered dining area and spaces to sit al fresco.

Accommodation: Cabins are small but well equipped with a double bed, en suite shower room and air-conditioning.

Crew: The professional crew consists of a captain and a steward/cook who prepares a fantastic selection of meals.

Dining: A continental breakfast, two course light lunch and two course dinner are included and prepared each day by the crew using fresh produce where possible. Occasionally the crew will catch fresh fish from the side of the boat.

Amenities: Water sports equipment on board the catamaran includes snorkelling gear, a sea kayak and paddle board (on some catamarans only). Two sets of linens are included in all sailing holidays as well as bath towels and beach towels.

Important information: Luggage must be soft bags as rigid suitcases are too cumbersome.
