Kariwak Village
At a Glance
Kariwak village is a truly unique hotel! The name derives from the two native tribes that originally inhabited Tobago - Caribs and Arawaks. The hotel has established a reputation as an `holistic' haven. Yoga, Tai Chi, massages and various stretching exercises form part of the daily activities programme.
Meals are served in the open sided village restaurant, widely regarded as one of the best rest aurants on the island. Many dishes are flavoured with home grown herbs, spices and vegetables grown in Kariwak's gardens and there is always a good selection for vegetarians. There is live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night often attracting many visitors and Tobagonians for a meal.
The hotel has 24 rooms in Cabanas situated near the pool or single storey rooms spread out around the spacious gardens. There is an attractive swimming pool, jacuzzi and a yoga pagoda. There are fabulous beaches nearby at Pigeon Point (complimentary shuttle service) and Store Bay, the latter being a 5 minute walk.
