The Atlantis Hotel was the first hotel built on the east coast of Barbados in 1883. Now, having undergone major refurbishment under the watchful eye of its new proprietors - owners of the stylish Little Good Harbour and The Fish Pot restaurant - the Atlantis has the style, feel and friendly intimate atmosphere of it's sister hotel.
The property opened early December with ten fabulous, chic, ocean facing suites; comprising eight 1-bedroom suites in the main building and two 2-bedroom suites in the cottage with private terrace. The suites and swimming pool are set in landscaped gardens.
The hotel, home to the once famous Atlantis restaurant with its wonderful ocean views, has always been famous for its all-Bajan cuisine and the new owners intend carrying on the tradition.
The Atlantis is the perfect destination for tying the knot - with the Atlantic forming a magnificient backdrop for your special day. The hotel has the services of a wedding co-ordinator to assist in your planning, so whether you are looking for a simple beach wedding or a more lavish affair you can rest assured that everything will be taken care of from the flowers and photography to the legal requirements of a wedding in Barbados.
For the more active guest why not hire a car, jeep, air conditioned sedan or book a chauffeur driven limo for the day and explore the island. Shop in Bridgetown, the capital, Holetown is about 40 minutes drive for shops, boutiques and restaurants or Speightstown for curios, watering holes and supermarkets is just 30 minutes away. Visit the many churches, the Garrison Historical Area, visit the races or just take a 10 minute walk uphill from The Atlantis to the Andromea Botanical Gardens.
