Atmosphere Kanifushi
Atmosphere Kanifushi is reached by seaplane and boasts 162 villas and suites. Accommodation options include over-water and beach villas, some of which have private pool and stunning sunset views. The all inclusive plan at Atmosphere Kanifushi offers a great range of dining options, including a complimentary fine dining experience per stay, along with complimentary non-motorised watersports, snorkelling and excursions.
The panoramic views around the island were stunning – there was nothing but ocean in sight. The food, wine and service at Pier Six were incredible, and I also loved the Sri Lankan street food at Ceylon Bliss. The setting on the beach is beautiful and this is a brilliant option for guests wanting a slightly lighter evening meal.

VARU by Atmosphere
VARU by Atmosphere is an elegant, all-inclusive resort reached by speedboat and ideally suited to both families and couples.Villas are contemporary in style and located either on the beach or over the turquoise lagoon. The main restaurant serves sumptuous buffets and guests are also able to enjoy a number of complimentary fine dining experiences depending on length of stay. VARU by Atmosphere offers an excellent range of activities, along with at least one complimentary spa treatment per person per stay.
The rooms at VARU were lovely and very spacious. I was also impressed by the buffet restaurant, which offered plenty of choice with dishes very well presented. I was lucky enough to go on both the stargazing and sunset cruises – both were magical and something I would definitely recommend for anyone celebrating a special occassion.

OBLU SELECT Sangeli
Reached by speedboat from Male, OBLU Select Sangeli offers accommodation in colourful, contemporary villas on the beach or over the water. The all inclusive meal plan includes the main buffet restaurant as well as a number of gourmet dining experiences per stay. Also included are a sunset fishing trip, an excursion, access to the gymnasium and kids club, a selection of non-motorised water sports and use of snorkelling equipment.
A warm welcome upon arrival makes it hard not to fall in love with this resort from the moment you step onto the jetty. Lunch at Just Wok was stunning, accompanied by impeccable service, and was quite possibly my favourite meal of the trip

OBLU NATURE Helengeli
OBLU NATURE Helengeli is a 50 minute speedboat transfer from Male and the island is renowned for its incomparable house reef and channel diving just off shore. Helengeli reef lies at one of the main entrances to the Atoll and the PADI dive centre offers courses catering to all abilities. Accommodation comprises modern and vibrant villas, set either on the beach or half over the lagoon. The all-inclusive experience that OBLU NATURE Helengeli provides includes high quality cuisine as well as a range of non-motorised watersports and excursions.
I loved how lush the greenery is and although the island is quite small, there is lots of space and it never felt busy. The resort had a really relaxed atmosphere and I particularly enjoyed the adults only pool with its stunning views over the ocean. I was expecting the house reef to be excellent and I was not disappointed!

OBLU SELECT Lobigili
OBLU SELECT Lobigili is an adults only retreat reached by a short speedboat transfer. Villas are bright and spacious, offering options both on the beach and over the water. The resort’s main restaurant blends a la carte dining with live cooking stations, buffets and theme nights. Guests staying four nights or more are also treated to one complimentary fine dining experience per stay at the resort’s underwater restaurant. The all inclusive plan also includes a great range of activities, as well as a complimentary spa treatment per stay.
The villas are beautiful and very spacious and I particularly liked the over water villas. Lobigili would be perfect for young couples and honeymooners as the there are touches of romance all around the resort from the moment you arrive.
