Located in North Male Atoll, this all-inclusive resort offers accommodation in offer colourful, contemporary villas on the beach or over the water, some with private plunge pools. The beach villas and majority of the resort’s facilities are located on one island, while a jetty lined with water villas leads to a smaller, adults-only island called One Banyan where more facilities are found along with the Honeymoon Water Suites.
Dining experiences include the main buffet restaurant with live cooking stations, a gourmet vegetarian option and a grill restaurant serving fresh seafood and meat. Guests can sample all these options as part of the ‘Serenity Plan’ which includes all meals at The Courtyard Restaurant plus one á la carte dining experience per week at JustWok and Just Grill Restaurants. A wide range of complimentary beverages can be enjoyed throughout the day and night, with three bars providing spaces in which to relax, while an in-villa minibar is also included restocked daily.
Also included in a stay at OBLU Select Sangeli are regular live entertainment, a sunset fishing trip, an excursion, access to the gymnasium and kids club, a selection of non-motorised water sports and roundtrip airport transfers. Guests staying between 4 and 7 nights also receive a complimentary spa treatment per adult, whilst guests staying between 8 and 11 nights receieve two treatments per adult, and guests stays 12 nights or more are treated to 3 complimentary treatments. Other facilities include two swimming pools (one of which is adults-only), an overwater gym and a relaxing spa offering a range of wellness experiences, therapies and massages.
There is also a PADI dive centre and a water sports centre offering complimentary kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and use of pedalos. The house reef promises superb snorkelling and scuba diving, with an astonishing marine life and healthy corals found within easy reach of the shore.
OBLU Select Sangeli is great for families thanks to the fantastic kids club and the family suites which are some of the largest in the Maldives.

A warm welcome upon arrival makes it hard not to fall in love with this resort from the moment you step onto the jetty. Lunch at Just Wok was stunning, accompanied by impeccable service, and was quite possibly my favourite meal of the trip.

Children: Children are welcome at OBLU Select Sangeli, and access to the kids club is complimentary. One Banyan is an adults-only island so children under 16 years old are only able to dine at JustWok and Just Grill during the day.
Transfers: OBLU Select Sangeli is reached by a 50 minute speedboat transfer from Male International Airport, and transfers are included in the all-inclusive package.
Facilities: Two swimming pools (one of which is adults-only) PADI dive centre, Water sports centre, Over-water gym, Spa & Wellness complex.
Complimentary activities: Access to the gymnasium, one excursion per stay, one sunset vising excursion per stay, access to the kids club, snorkelling, non-motorised water sports including kayaking and stand up paddle boarding, plus a spa treatment each (minimum 4 night stay applies).
Spa: ELENA Spa at Sangeli is located on One Banyan Island, offering six double treatment rooms, a yoga pavilion and steam room facilities.
Excursions: Guests can choose between excursions such as sunset fishing cruises, local island visits, guided snorkelling trips and full moon cruises.
Meal Arrangements: Stays at OBLU Select Sangeli are on an all-inclusive basis. The Serenity Plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Courtyard, snacks each afternoon at Hedhikaa Hut, unlimited consumption of a wide selection of beverages and an in-villa minibar which is replenished daily. Guests also receive one a la carte fine dining experience per 7 night stay at JustWok and Just Grill.
Dining: The Courtyard is the resort’s main restaurant with live cooking stations and theme nights. JustWok is a contemporary vegetarian restaurant while Just Grill serves fresh seafood and grilled meat, both open for lunch and dinner. There are three further bars – The Rock Bar, The Sangs Bar and One Banyan Island Pool Bar. For special occasions, guests can order breakfast in bed or enjoy destination dining experiences such as private beach barbeques.
ACCOMMODATION
Beach Villa: These detached villas feature a comfortable bedroom, a large open-air bathroom with outdoor shower and bathtub, and a deck with views over the turquoise lagoon and direct beach access. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 2 children or 3 adults + 1 child. (81sqm)
Beach Villa with Pool: These villas are the same as the Beach Villas but with the addition of a private 13sqm pool. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 2 children or 3 adults + 1 child. (101sqm)
Two Bedroom Beach Pool Suite: These spacious suites feature a master bedroom and a separate twin bedroom, both with en suite open-air bathrooms, a living area, a sundeck with direct beach access and a private 13sqm pool. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 4 children or 4 adults + 2 children or 3 adults + 3 children. (152sqm)
Water Villa: These private villas are set over the lagoon and feature a spacious bedroom with a glass panel in the floor, a large bathroom, a deck with loungers and direct access to the lagoon. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child or 3 adults. (78sqm)
Water Villa with Pool: These ocean facing villas offer the same facilities as the Water Villa with an 8sqm over-sized plunge pool. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child or 3 adults. (88sqm)
Honeymoon SELECT Ocean Villa: These suites are for couples only, offering luxurious interiors and features such as a round bed, a round bathtub, mirrored walls and ceilings, and a spacious sundeck with loungers and a private 13sqm pool. Guests staying in these villas receive a welcome bottle of Champagne with canapes and a fruit platter, free dine-around in all three restaurants and a special nightly turndown service plus two couples’ massages for all stays of at least 4 nights. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults. Minimum stay: 3 nights. (102sqm)
