Tribe Yala offers a luxury glamping experience within a short drive of Yala National Park. Yala is perhaps Sri Lanka’s most popular safari destination, thanks to the national park’s density of leopards. Though they are elusive by nature, you have a pretty good chance of spotting a leopard whilst on safari in Yala! We’d highly recommend starting your day with an early morning game drive and a picnic breakfast. The rest of your time at Tribe Yala can then be spent relaxing at the resort, or even exploring the nearby forests on a guided walk with a safari expert.

Sustainable stays

A stay at Tribe Yala offers the authentic feel of a safari camp, without having to sacrifice any of the luxuries! All of the tents offer a terrace with a private plunge pool, which is the perfect place to relax after a safari drive. The resort’s commitment to sustainability is evident in both the accommodation and the cuisine. Much of the fresh produce served is grown in their own organic vegetable garden, whilst other ingredients, such as fish and seafood, are sourced locally to ensure guests can experience Sri Lankan cuisine at its finest.

Glamping Tents at Tribe Yala

Tribe Yala offers a glamping experience, with luxurious tents set amidst lush tropical vegetation. All tents are styled to reflect their natural surroundings and offer air conditioning, an in-room safe, eco-friendly bathroom amenities and tea and coffee making facilities.

Deluxe Tent

  • Two deluxe tents are named after two of the park’s most famous residents - the leopard and the sloth bear and offer outside space with a private plunge pool
  • Featuring either a double four-poster bed or twin beds and a partially open-air bathroom with a walk-in shower  
  • Maximum occupancy: 4 adults (46 sqm)

Luxury Tent

  • Two luxury tents (Owl & Eagle) offer a furnished terrace complete with a private plunge pool
  • These spacious tents feature a four-poster king size bed, a sitting area and an indoor bathroom with a shower and a bathtub (Owl Tent only)
  • Maximum occupancy: 4 adults (60 sqm)

Super Luxury Tent

  • This luxurious tent boasts plenty of outside space, with an expansive terrace, a private tree house and a plunge pool
  • Featuring three king size four-poster beds, a sitting area and a large bathroom with shower
  • Maximum occupancy: 6 adults (116 sqm)

Experiences: Yala National Park - take a jeep safari in the national park, known for its density of leopards, but also home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles and exotic bird species; Nature Walks - take a stroll through the forest with a safari expert; Lake Cruise - take a boat ride on a nearby Yoda Kandiya Lake or Tissa Lake; Village Lunch Experience - visit a local village, meet with a local farmer to learn about traditional farming practices and enjoy a delicious lunch; Dinner at Kirinda beach - enjoy a candlelit dinner overlooking the Indian Ocean.
