Luxurious villas with Maldivian charm

Whether you prefer to stay on the beach or over the water, Furaveri Maldives has a range of accommodation options to choose from. All villas are comfortable and contemporary, but also showcase traditional Maldivian designs. We particularly like the Beach Pool Villas with Jacuzzi, which not only offer plenty in the way of privacy and luxurious facilities, but also give a nod to the island’s heritage, with the roof designed to look like a traditional ‘Dhoni’ fishing boat.

Everything from Mexican to Mediterranean cuisine

An excellent range of tempting dining options is often important when choosing a private island resort, and Furaveri certainly doesn’t disappoint on this front. Cuisines range from Asian-fusion at Raiyvilla to Mediterranean flavours at Olives & Vines. We would particularly recommend a visit to Ocean Spice, an Indian vegetarian restaurant set right on the beach, and the Mexican restaurant Amigos certainly offers something a little different and unexpected in the Maldives!

Snorkel with Mantas or relax by the pool

Those seeking relaxation can immerse themselves in Furaveri's serene Wellness Village. Focussed on traditional Asian holistic healthcare and based on the concept of a traditional local village, the Wellness VIllage offers an extensive range of facilities in a beautiful rustic setting. Those looking to be a little more active can take part in excursions such as snorkelling with Manta rays, night snorkelling and fishing trips. There is also a superb house reef to be explored, and of course you may just wish to lounge on the beach with a cocktail in hand!

Our opinion

I really liked the atmosphere when visiting Furaveri Maldives. It is a very friendly resort offering excellent service and facilities, and families in particular are very well catered for. I particularly enjoyed exploring the beach and house reef at Furaveri - the snorkelling was fantastic and I saw plenty of colourful marine life.

Room Types

Furaveri has 169 villas located within the gardens, on the beach or set on stilts above the turquoise lagoon. Interiors are contemporary but with plenty of Maldivian charm and feature a king-size bed, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, bathrobes and a private terrace with a daybed and sun loungers.

Garden Villa

These villas are nestled in lush tropical greenery in the second row of villas back from the beach

Location: Furaveri Maldives is located in Raa Atoll, approximately a 45 minute seaplane transfer from Male

Children: Children are welcome at Furaveri Maldives and the Kids Club offers a daily programme for children aged 4 to 11 years

Amigos serves Mexican-inspired light bites accompanied by margaritas. Ocean Spice is an Indian Vegetarian restaurant located on the beachside and open for lunch and dinner. Teppan de Oishi is open for dinner and serves delicious sushi and sashimi paired with refreshing tropical cocktails. Olives & Vines serves Mediterranean cuisine in a stunning setting. Udhares Bar is the resorts family friendly poolside bar, serving juices, soft drinks and spirits along with an á la carte food menu.
