Rooms and suites at Elephant Stables are all individually designed and feature traditional yet stylish designs. As well as comfortable bedrooms, there are also two bedroom suites that work well for families. The theme of elegant living extends from the rooms to the cuisine, with gourmet a la carte dining and flavours to suit all tastes. Those looking to experience some traditional Sri Lankan cuisine can sample a delicious spread of rice and curry, which typically comprises around 10 - 12 separate dishes. The hotel also offers superb fusion and Western cuisine, as well as a rather excellent afternoon tea.

Our opinion

Despite being only 10 minutes from the centre of Kandy, Elephant Stables feels like a quiet, hillside retreat. The infinity pool, with its views over the surrounding hills, is a lovely place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. It is worth getting here in time for afternoon tea, which is served on the lawn and is a real treat!

Elephant Stables Kandy has just seven individually designed rooms and suites. Accommodation is elegantly furnished and traditional in style, offering air conditioning, televisions and luxury amenities.

Children: Families are welcome at Elephant Stables Kandy, however there are no specific facilities for children
