The luxurious suites at Carlisle Bay offer contemporary décor and are located either directly on the stunning beach or just a few steps away across lawns. All suites have at least partial views of the ocean from the private balcony or terrace, where guests can enjoy breakfast free of charge. The resort caters exceptionally well for both families and couples, with the adults only Bay Suites set on a different side of the resort to the family friendly Beach Balcony and Beach Terrace Suites.
Dining options at Carlisle Bay range from casual poolside dining to sophisticated Asian cuisine at East, which is widely regarded as being one of Antigua’s best restaurants. Our favourite spot for dinner is The Jetty Bar & Grill, which serves delicious grilled seafood and authentic Caribbean dishes in a quiet location at the far end of the beach, with some tables located right on the sand.
Facilities at Carlisle Bay are superb and offer the perfect balance between relaxation and activity. A lagoon-style swimming pool is surrounded by terraces shaded by palm trees, while the stunning beach is an idyllic spot where guests can relax on luxurious sun loungers. Active guests can enjoy a range of watersports, with motorised watersports taking place in a neighbouring cove to preserve the tranquillity of the bay. It is also possible to kayak through the mangroves behind the resort, which is something a little different and a great way to explore the resort’s tropical surroundings.

The service was excellent with plenty of attention to detail. I especially liked that they placed cool boxes with cold water between the beach chairs every morning. The food and cocktail selection was also great, but the highlight of Carlisle Bay has got to be its beautiful and quiet stretch of beach.
All 87 suites have a fully stocked minibar (complimentary bottled water), Espresso machine, a safe, hairdryer, satellite TV, international direct dialling, complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, ceiling fan, ESPA bathroom products, private terrace or balcony with luxurious daybed and dining table. All suites have a small step between the bedroom area and seating area, but ground floor suites can have ramps added to become wheelchair accessible. The resort is laid out so that the family-friendly accommodation is away from the adults-only suites.
Location: Carlisle Bay is approximately a 30 minute drive from Antigua airport. Guests are met by a representative of the resort upon arrival in Antigua and offered complimentary fast-track through the airport
