Colony Club, A Luxury Collection Resort is set within seven acres of tropical gardens with soaring palm trees and tranquil lagoon shaped swimming pools. The hotel is on a white, sandy beach on Barbados’ platinum west coast, just a fifteen minute walk from Holetown. Though elegant and stylish, Colony Club has a relaxed atmosphere and welcomes families throughout the year. Having just undergone a full renovation, the hotel is set to re-open in September 2025.

Accommodation options at Colony Club range from garden view rooms to luxurious ocean view suites. Particularly popular are the Luxury Swim-Up rooms, which provide private access to the lagoon pool from their balcony or patio. All rooms have undergone a full refurbishment and offer stylish accommodation that promotes relaxed island living.

Innovative dining options

Colony Club offers guests an innovative range of dining options with cuisine inspired by Barbados’ rich history. Guests can sample dishes that feature ingredients from the hotel’s own botanical garden, as well as delicious fresh seafood served on the oceanfront deck. The resort also boasts the island’s first Rum Vault, which has over 150 varieties of rum and offers an unmissable rum tasting experience. Guests are also invited to make use of a complimentary water taxi to Colony Club’s sister properties along the west coast, where they can enjoy a wider range of restaurants and bars.

Activities & relaxation

Colony Club encourages guests to explore the island’s rich cultural heritage through a selection of bespoke tours and activities. Options range from cookery demonstrations and visits to the local farmers market to wellness experiences and spa treatments that incorporate island elements. As well as the traditional non-motorised watersports, the resort also offers complimentary motorised activities such as water-skiing for those keen to get out on the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Guests may also wish to simply relax on the white sand beach or by one of the tranquil pools.

I loved the innovative food and beverage options at Colony Club, and this promises to be even more special post-renovation. This is such an iconic resort on Barbados’ west coast and we are excited to see it reopen looking more beautiful than ever!

Colony Club has 96 fully refurbished rooms and suites, with options including swim-up and ocean view rooms. Each room and suite offers a king bed, private patio or balcony furnished with a daybed, flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning, a bathroom with bathtub and shower, hair dryer, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi, yoga mats and bathrobes.

Hotel Information

Location: Colony Club is approximately a 45 minute drive from Barbados airport

Children: Children are accepted all-year round at Colony Club, and there is a seasonal children’s programme for children aged 4-12 years.

Facilities: 4 lagoon style swimming pools, spa with a steam room, fitness centre, yoga, watersports including sailing, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, tube rides and water-skiing, organic garden tours and cooking demonstrations

Dining: Stays at Colony Club are on a bed & breakfast, half board or full board basis. Laguna Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving international cuisine. Sunset Deck Restaurant is an oceanfront venue open for lunch and dinner offering a range of options from salads and sandwiches to fresh seafood. Sunset Bar is located next the pool with swim-up bar serving drinks and cocktails.The Rum Vault boasts 150 global rums and offers rum pairings and weekly events.
