Why visit Turks & Caicos?
Turks & Caicos is a paradise destination where stunning white sand beaches meet crystal clear turquoise waters. When Tropic Breeze Founder Jo visited, she described it as a blend of the stunning beaches of the Maldives with the vibrant culture and superb restaurant scene of Anguilla. This small, British Overseas Territory is in fact an archipelago made up of over 40 islands and cays. The destination therefore lends itself to island hopping holidays, as well as longer resort stays.
An iconic island destination
The main island in the Turks and Caicos archipelago is Providenciales. Affectionately known as ‘Provo’, this is where you will find one of the best gourmet dining scenes in the Caribbean, with an incredibly diverse range of cuisines on offer. The island is also home to vibrant shopping plazas, and of course plenty of beautiful beaches. North & Middle Caicos are reachable from Provo for a day trip and are ideal for exploring miles of untouched beaches and spectacular caves. Reachable from Provo by ferry is South Caicos - once renowned for exporting sea-salt, but now a sleepy fishing island home to rugged beaches and luxury resorts.
Which hotel will you choose?
Turks & Caicos offers a wide range of accommodation options, from luxury resorts to private island experiences. You might opt for a relaxed, family friendly resort like The Sands at Grace Club, which is set on one of the destination’s most famous beaches, or a secluded hideaway like Salterra, located on the somewhat quieter island of South Caicos.
