Nisbet Plantation Beach Club in Nevis is the only plantation style property located on the beach in the whole of the Caribbean.  Set in 30 acres of tropical gardens with manicured lawns leading down to the coral fringed white sand beach, Nisbet Plantation is the perfect setting for a tranquil escape.
This idyll is combined with a truly outstanding level of service, with friendly staff on hand to warmly greet guests and look after them for the duration of their stay. Caddy the barman is on hand to fix beachside drinks while the General Manager, Tim, hosts a weekly cocktail party in the beach bar.

The 36 rooms at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club are found in pale, lemon painted cottages dotted around the hotel’s grounds. Each room or suite is spacious with vaulted ceilings, a separate sitting area and a porch. The cooling sea breeze will keep guests refreshed though air conditioning is also provided to add to your comfort.

The cuisine offered at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club matches the high standards of its service. Guests can eat breakfast at the open air beachfront restaurant, enjoy light lunch bites such as amazing conch fritters in the beach bar, head to the Great House for a traditional afternoon tea then sip cocktails in the elegant lounge. Fine dining is available every evening at the historic Great House, either within the air-conditioned building which dates back to 1778 or al fresco on the verandah with views down the Avenue of Palms. An excellent seafood barbeque night is held every Thursday at Coconuts Restaurant, where guests can sample delicious Caribbean dishes while being entertained by a live band - the evening is extremely popular with locals and visitors to the island so guests are encouraged to pre-book.
Days can be spent at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club sipping one of the barman’s creations on the beach, admiring the beautiful Avenue of Palms which takes the eye from the Great House towards the sea or indulging in a book in one of the resort’s many hammocks. There is a peaceful spa where guests can be pampered, offering a full menu of massages, body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures.

Additionally, Nevis has a lot to offer for guests looking to be active. Days can be spent scuba diving, horse riding, visiting the local town, playing a round of golf or hiking through rainforests, perhaps all the way to the top of Nevis Peak! The General Manager and his wife guide guests on an early morning hike on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays - the walk is reasonably strenuous and shows a side to Nevis that visitors wouldn't usually see, setting off at 7am and arriving back in time for breakfast at about 8.30am. A weekly rum shop tour takes place on a Friday afternoon where guests can visit some hidden gems and experience authentic island life.

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club has a high number of repeat guests particularly from the UK  due to it's amazing staff.  As soon as you arrive, you will be made to feel welcome and will make friends straight away.  Prepare for some amazing food here - Afternoon tea is served daily on the terrace of the Great House, followed by an a la carte dinner every night.  If you are looking for something specific, do speak to the chef as he will go out of his way to make your dining experience special.  Also try and stay here on a Thursday to experience the fantastic beach BBQ followed by live music - you will almost certainly end up dancing bare foot in the sand before the end of the night!  My overwhelming memory of Nisbet Plantation Beach Club was standing on the terrace of the Great House looking down towards the sea through the Avenue of Palms and admiring the views and spacious feel of the property.  The rooms are very comfortable and are well spread which is really nice and gives a great feeling of privacy.  Remember if you are enjoying a special celebration you can plant a commemorative palm tree in the grounds to mark your stay - what a lovely memory!
