Children: Children are welcome all year round at Sugar Bay Barbados. All children aged 0-2 years stay free (up to the maximum room occupancy) and the first child in the family aged 3-16 years also stays free all year round.
'Kids Fun' is part of the all-inclusive package and includes a crèche for children aged 4 months – 2 years, Kids Club and a playground for ages 3 – 12 years and a Teen Club House. A babysitting service is available and charged locally.
Location: Sugar Bay is located just outside Bridgetown on the south coast of Barbados.
Distance from the airport: Sugar Bay is 20 minutes by car from Grantley Adams International Airport.
Check in/out: Guests are invited to check in from 4pm and are asked to check out by 12 noon.
Meal arrangements: Sugar Bay operates on an all-inclusive basis which includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon and dinner. Guests can only dine at the speciality restaurants (see below) twice per week.
The all-inclusive package also includes premium alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks; entertainment; use of resort facilities as below; and most non-motorised watersports.
Dining & entertainment: Reef is the main, buffet restaurant and has a beachside location while UMI (Japanese for ocean) is an elegant restaurant serving sushi in a first floor setting overlooking the pool or in a large ground floor lounge. Colin’s Beach Bar is open for lunch and serves a wide choice to suite all ages from burgers to paninis. It also has a dance floor and an outdoor dining area. Located in Sugar Bay's Chattel Village are The Lazy Mongoose (similar to an English pub and serving late night snacks) and Sizzle Steak House (open for dinner only with communal tables as well as private dining options). All these dining venues are included in Sugar Bay's all-inclusive package, although there might be supplements for some items and guests can only dine at UMI and Sizzle Steak twice per week. Blush Cafe is not part of the all-inclusive package and is a coffee shop based in Chattel Village.
Resort facilities & services: Four restaurants (as above), a swim-up bar, activities & car rental desk, two swimming pools, fitness centre, games room, kids' club and playground, free Wi-Fi throughout the resort. Facilities which are available at an additional charge include a conference room for up to 200 people, a dry cleaning service, Karma Spa, a gift shop and convenience store.
Activities at the resort: Beach volleyball and non-motorised watersports such as kayaking and snorkelling are available as part of the all-inclusive package. Chargeable activities include wind surfing, jet skis, banana boat trips and sailing.
Activities & excursions nearby: The activities desk can organise car hire and a range of tours. Activities available in the local area include scuba diving, golf, nature treks, swimming with turtles, stand up paddle boarding, horse riding, cruises and more.
Smoking Policy: Smoking is not allowed in any guestroom and is restricted to allocated areas.

Each of the 138 rooms and suites at Sugar Bay has a private balcony or patio, mini fridge, flat screen TV, coffee/tea making facilities, in-room safe, bathrobes and toiletries from The White Company.
Signature Room (Pool or Garden View): Comfortable, stylish rooms with a king-size bed (twin beds available on request), modern bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults.
Deluxe Signature Room (Pool or Garden View): As above. These rooms are extra spacious and also have a sofa bed plus a roll-away bed. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child.
Oceanfront Room: As above with spectacular beach views from the balcony. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults.
Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite: As above with stunning beach views from your private balcony and offering a king-size, four poster bed, modern bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults.
Deluxe Oceanfront Room: Panoramic ocean views from your private balcony. A spacious room with a king-size bed (twin beds on request) and a comfortable sofa bed. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child.

Two Bedroom Suite: Ideal for families with beautiful pool/garden views from your private balcony, this stylish suite features two king-size beds and a sofa bed in the separate living area. There is also a telephone for international calling and an iron with ironing board. Maximum occupancy: 5 adults or 3 adults + 2 children.
Two Bedroom Oceanfront Suite: Enjoy breathtaking ocean views from your private balcony. This air-conditioned suite has two king-size beds and a sofa bed in the separate living/dining area. Maximum occupancy: 6 adults or 4 adults + 2 children.
