Calabash Hotel in Grenada is a luxury, family owned hotel set within tropical gardens beside a beautiful stretch of beach. Guests can look forward to exceptional service and gourmet dining at this Relais & Chateaux hotel, which has also been awarded two Michelin Keys. Guests can enjoy luxury amenities, such as a fully stocked mini-bar on all meal plans, a complimentary 30 minute spa treatment per person and green fees at Grenada Golf Club.

Elegant suites

30 spacious suites are found in two-storey buildings arranged in a horseshoe shape facing the Caribbean Sea. Decor is luxurious yet comfortable, meaning that your suite at Calabash Hotel feels like a home away from home. And if you weren’t feeling at home enough, you can order breakfast to be delivered to your terrace and start the day feeling thoroughly relaxed. There are also four luxurious estate villas which are located to the west of the main hotel, each with their own private infinity pool boasting stunning views over the bay.

Innovative fine dining

Dining at Calabash Hotel is renowned throughout the Caribbean, and guests can enjoy delicious cuisine in a variety of settings. The Beach Club is a laid back setting where guests can enjoy both breakfast and lunch beside the beach. In the evening, choose between fine dining in the vine-covered Rhodes Restaurant or innovative Japanese-Peruvian inspired dishes in a poolside setting at Nori. Be sure to book in advance for Nori though, as space is limited and this restaurant is incredibly popular!

Days in paradise

Days at Calabash Hotel can be spent simply relaxing on the peaceful beach, whilst enjoying tropical cocktails from the Beach Club. For those who like a little gentle activity, why not take out one of the kayaks or paddle boards and explore the calm bay, where there are often luxurious yachts moored. Back on dry land, we’d highly recommend a visit to the spa, which was named by Tropic Breeze’s founder, Jo Plummer, as one of her favourite spas in the Caribbean.

Our opinion

I absolutely loved my stay at Calabash Grenada. The food was spectacular, but I particularly enjoyed the tapas at the Beach Club - it’s perfect if you just want something light to break up a tough day of relaxing on the beach! I found my suite to be incredibly comfortable, and I felt at home from the moment I stepped through the doors.

Suites at Calabash Hotel

Calabash Hotel has 30 suites set in tropical grounds with views over the lawns and to the Ocean beyond. Each suite has a bedroom, a living area, a balcony or terrace, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a TV, telephone, Nespresso machine, a fully stocked mini bar, safe, an iron and ironing board, Amazon Echo Smart Speakers, complimentary Wi-Fi and a hairdryer.

Westside Suite

These suites are located closest to the beach and offer either a balcony or patio with side ocean views

Junior Suite

These open plan suites are located on the upper floor and offer a balcony overlooking the gardens and ocean beyond

Price for the Calabash Hotel: Low season packages from £2885 per person; High season from £4585 per person. Prices are based on seven nights accommodation in a Westside Suite on a bed and breakfast basis for 2 adults sharing, and include direct flights in economy class and private transfers in Grenada

Location: Calabash Hotel is approximately a 10 minute drive from Grenada airport

Children: Children are accepted, but only aged 12+ between 15 January - 15 March. Please note there is no children’s club
