Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru is an intimate resort which is located on its own tiny island in the North Male Atoll, providing luxurious accommodation in a fabulous tropical setting. This is a picture-perfect tropical island, complete with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters surrounded by a lagoon formed by the offshore coral reef. Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru provides the ideal environment for a tranquil, relaxing break.
There are 48 villas spread around the island, all of which feature a private pool and are located on the beach to maximize the superb ocean views. The villas are constructed of local stone and timber under spiral thatched roofs, with interiors which have been furnished to a high standard with four poster beds, scented candles and wooden bowls.
The resorts main restaurant Ilaafathi, serves a range of delicious Asian and international meals with impeccable service; and Naiboli Bar is the venue for snacks, light meals and cocktails throughout the day, also hosting a Maldivian night on Fridays complete with a local buffet and Bodu Beru - a drumming music performance. For a special occasion the hotel will be pleased to arrange private dining in your villa or even on a sandbank at an extra charge. Guests are also able to dine at Riveli Restaurant at sister resort Dhawa Ihuru, accessible by a short boat trip.

The PADI Gold Palm 5-star Dive Centre has multilingual instructors and offers scuba diving and a range of PADI accredited courses adding to the broad array of watersport facilities. The island has its own marine lab to monitor the marine life and also a gallery selling handcrafted items as well as resort clothing and signature spa amenities.

If you stay at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, the spa should be one of your first stops. Their locally sourced ingredients are sustainable and effective, I'd never been so relaxed!

Children: Children are welcome all year round. Children under 4 are accommodated free of charge when sharing a villa with 2 adults.
Transfers: 20 minutes by speedboat.
Complimentary: Unlimited non-motorised water sports including Windsurfing, canoeing and snorkelling. Access to fitness centre, table tennis, games and a library is provided. Wi-Fi is available in public areas such as the bar, restaurant and reception.
Facilities Available at a Local Charge: Spa treatments, PADI Gold Palm 5-star Dive Centre with multi-lingual instructors offering scuba diving and a range of PADI courses, deep sea fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, banana rides, sailing and windsurfing tuition.
Meal Arrangements: Guests can stay at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru on a half board, full board or all-inclusive basis. Guests staying on an all-inclusive basis can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Ilaafathi Restaurant or Riveli Restaurant at sister resort Dhawa Ihuru. Unlimited beverages by the glass are also included as well as a mini-bar which is replenished daily.

Oceanview Pool Villa: Set back from the beach, these villas have a four poster bed and indoor/outdoor bathroom, a private garden with plunge pool pool and jet pool, and a beachfront deck leading towards a sala overlooking the lagoon. 110sqm. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant or 3 adults + 1 infant.
Beachfront Pool Villa: Located just steps from the Indian Ocean, these villas have all the features of the Oceanview Pool Villa but are located right on the beach. 110sqm. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant or 3 adults + 1 infant.
Beachfront Sunset View Pool Villa: Similar to the Beachfront Pool Villas but located on the sunset side of the island. 110sqm. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant or 3 adults + 1 infant.
Grand Beachfront Pool Villa: Perfect for families, this spacious villa offers a separate living room and attached bathroom right on the beachfront. Including a spacious private pool and a private terrace with lounge area and outdoor shower. 132sqm. Maximum occupancy: 5 adults.
Wellbeing Sanctuary Pool Villa: These villas are designed with wellness in mind and feature a spacious sundeck perfect for yoga, a Thai-inspired sala, a pillow menu and complimentary access to daily wellbeing amenities. 120sqm. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child + 1 infant or 3 adults + 1 infant.
